Leeds Women’s Hub

The Leeds Womenโ€™s and Girls Hubs were established as a mechanism for any woman or girl, independent or professional, to contribute to decision making, and to influence and shape services for women and girls across the city. The Hubs enable the engagement of women and girls, those working with women and girls and the wider womenโ€™s sector, to drive forward the priorities set by women and girls and to contribute to the vision for Leeds to be โ€˜The Best Cityโ€™.

Both Hubs are formally recognised as Leeds Equality Hubs and are members of Leeds City Councilโ€™s Equality Assembly.

The Womenโ€™s Hub was established in March 2017 when members first came together to discuss and agree working priorities, one such being โ€œWomenโ€™s Safetyโ€ and also to set the aim for Leeds to be โ€œA Woman Friendly Cityโ€ – the first of its kind in the U.K.
