Become an ambassador
Becoming an ambassador is a great way to get involved in creating positive change for women in Leeds. Our network of ambassadors bring their individual ideas and skills together to shape our movement and support our campaigns.
Ambassadors help other women and girls get involved in our movement and advocate for change. Our regular newsletter will keep you up to date on ways you can get involved in the Women Friendly Leeds movement. By becoming an ambassador you will:
Be added to our mailing list to stay up to date with our campaigns
Be invited to Ambassador Network Meetings to discuss and share ideas
Be invited to get involved in city-wide opportunities for change

Case Study - WFL Ambassador: Lauren Gilbert
“I first found out about WFL from someone I knew that worked in hospitality. She mentioned that WFL are involved with Ask For Angela and run Women’s Night Safe Space on Call Lane. I wanted to become an Ambassador because I realised that WFL just really resonated with me and I saw how hard Shreena and the team worked and wanted to do whatever I could to support them.
I also wanted to be a voice for women in the hospitality industry and WFL allowed me to bring those voices to the table and since then we’ve done some really great work together.
As an ambassador, I’ve been involved in training/workshops and events like Hospitality conferences and Women in Hospitality Leeds events. I’m really looking forward to being involved in upcoming campaigns.
It’s been a privilege to have worked alongside WFL as an Ambassador for the last 2 and a bit years. Especially on the hospitality side of things. WFL is leading the way with the work they’re doing and it should be replicated in every major city! It brings me a huge sense of joy to be a part of something so great for the women of Leeds and I’m really excited to see what they do next.”
