Skills for Careers

A government website that offers a range of skills for life for young people and adults. They offer advice on CV writing and filling out application forms.

Young People

Young People – Get ideas about the type of job you might like and discover careers that you didn’t know existed. See what support is available for your situation, including help with money, mental health, work and training. 

Adults

Adults – View all the different courses available to you to swap careers or get a job. View guidance applying for jobs or training, get financial help or get advice deciding your next step.

Get advice about the different types of jobs you could do with your experience and skills. Search and apply for work and available training options near to you.

Leeds Learning Hub

Leeds Learning Hub –  part of Employment and Skills Leeds, is a service provided by Leeds City Council to help Leeds residents find education opportunities.

It offers a range of first step courses for adults. Courses take place across the city in a variety of different venues. Many courses are free subject to personal circumstances – check with the course provider for details.

National Careers Service

National Careers Service – provides high quality, free and impartial careers advice, information and guidance. The service is available to anyone aged 13+ no matter what stage of the careers journey they are at.
