This page aims to provide local and national links and signposting for people to enhance their skills, seek learning, education and in applying for and finding employment. It also signposts to the key organisations who provide employment law and information for new, emerging and established Employers.
All providers are known; however, Women Friendly Leeds cannot endorse them.
It is split into two sections People and Employers.
This is just a snapshot of what is available, but you can all spend more time doing simple internet searches clearly asking for key words that will help you to get where you need to go, so good luck. 😊

Leeds Learning Hub – Leeds City Council

Leeds Learning Hub, part of Employment and Skills Leeds, is a service provided by Leeds City Council to help Leeds residents find education opportunities.
It offers a range of first step courses for adults. Courses take place across the city in a variety of different venues. Many courses are free subject to personal circumstances – check with the course provider for details.

The Volunteer Centre Leeds helps individual people find meaningful volunteering opportunities. If filling in forms is difficult, English is not a first language, or you just don’t know where to start – they can help.
The Volunteer Centre is based in Leeds City Centre in the food court area of Leeds Kirkgate Market.
Opening times: Tuesday to Friday 10 am – 4 pm.

They work with millions of employers and employees every year to improve workplace relationships, are an independent public body that receives funding from the government.
The Health and Safety Executive
