Women’s Hub
The Leeds Women’s and Girls Hubs aim to provide opportunities for any woman, girl, independent or professional, or from any women centred group or organisation to contribute to strategic decision making and to influence and shape services for women and girls across the city.
They will enable engagement of the women and girls sectors and will drive forward the priorities for Women and Girls as identified by women and girls and make an active contribution towards the vision for Leeds to be “The Best City”.
The Leeds Women’s Hub is part of the Equality Hubs Network, it meets monthly and feeds into the Leeds Equality Assembly, which is facilitated by Leeds City Council.
The Women’s Hub has identified the following as its five key priorities, which will form the basis of conversations in the Hub meetings:
-
Safety
-
Education
-
Health and Wellbeing
-
Employment and Economic Empowerment
-
Voice, Influence and Participation
